Slot drains vs spot drains
Anyone with experience working with slot drains? We are debating between slot drains and spot drains in our new facility,
I read of the many advantages of having slot drains in a food industry but am told slot drains are difficult to clean.
I personally do not have any experience with slot drains, so asking for any feedback from yours.
Thanks.
Piki
I think they all have challenges. Make sure it is designed for food use.

The company that kingstudruler1 posted the link to sells all types of drains and will work with you to get the correct type in the correct areas based on where your equipment will be and the discharge rates down the drain.
I personally think they are easy to clean. Some in the industry have been worried about not being able to see in the slot drain but, you can, especially in their newest model. They even have CIP capabilities but I personally think that is over kill.
