Hey everyone - I'm a BRC 9 bakery site and need to create an equipment decommissioning form.

I plan to list the following items on the checklist with sign off requirement and date

1. Equipment/removal of any hazardous materials and/or gases prior to disassembly required?

2. HACCP - production flow diagrams - updated

3. HACCP - process hazard analysis - updated

4. Disassembly Plan - approved by HACCP team

5. Sanitation - cleaning & sanitizing area

6. Equipment specific SOPs and/or Forms - removed/logged as inactive

Is there anything else you would include on this?

Thanks for your assistance

D

Hi D,

A few things come to mind:

Disassembly plan to include area isolation/production shutdown

Disposal/Storage of redundant equipment

Consider need to consult pest controller

Environmental monitoring/swabbing

Hygiene inspection of area prior to restarting operations

Kind regards,

Tony
