I have been reading about a conference put on by the Association of Food and Drug Officials. (AFDO)

It looks pretty interesting. Unfortunately, my company does not provide time or resources for professional development.

Has anyone from this forum ever attended? Is worth the trip? Maybe I can push for it next year.

What professional development are you looking to accomplish? There are multiple conferences throughout a given year with both wide and narrow focuses - food safety, food defense, quality, poultry, fruits & veggies, etc.

Also. where you are located affects this in terms of travel, lodging, and food costs that can often be more than the cost of the conference.

I was just asking if this conference is worthwhile.

If IFSQN members have attended and didn't enjoy it, I can remove myself from the AFDO mailing list.

Apologies for overstepping. I am not familiar with that particular meeting.

Not overstepping at all! I would go to any conference if it was offered to me.
