In House Label Disfigurement Procedure

Hi Everyone,

I work for a beverage bottling facility and have been tasked with creating a procedure for Label Disfigurement.

This includes not only expired / damaged labels but also labels that have already been applied to non-conforming product, meaning the procedure must include a cost and time effective method for line operators to disfigure and dispose of one label at a time once they have been applied to a bottle.

Do you have experience with this type of procedure? I would be interested to hear how other facilities handle this type and volume of label disfigurement without use of a third party company.

Thank you!
