New Amazon Dietary Supplement Testing Policy
I work for a dietary supplement manufacturer and we used to build "amazon packages" for our customers. Meaning, we would pull the product after we made, take the pictures, send it out for testing, redact the BPR, attached any raw material COA's and then send it to the customer to send to amazon to list their product.
As of April 2nd, Amazon has enforced a new policy where sellers have to manage all testing through their seller portal and pick one of the three labs that amazon has chosen to partner with, UL, NSF, or Eurofins.
My question is, as the manufacturer, what does this mean for us? How much can we actually help our customers with now? There isn't a lot of guidance on this new policy change as far as how it affects the manufacturers of the products that are going to be sold on amazon
it means you'll have to use one of the 3 approved labs if you want to continue in your current arrangement
But as far as your company and Amazon---it means zip as your the manufacturer, not the seller

We are facing the same issue at the company I am working at. We manufacture and sell the product. So in order to sell on amazon we need annual testing for each product but may be able to pass the eligibility down to any private labels we do. I am curious, what is your position at your company? I am in Quality. We don't sell the product though, we are a contract manufacturer so we just make it and do some testing in house and then send it back to the customer for distribution.
