For those interested that this impacts, you can now view the draft version of BRCGS Packaging Materials Issue 7.

I would recommend any certificated sites take a look at this and provide any feedback you have directly to BRCGS.
Issue 7 will be published in October 2024.
Certification audits against Issue 7 will commence from in April 2025.

At the first glance, there are many big changes, especially the Clause 2 HARA.
Also some modifications make more sense and probably reduce ambiguous intepretations such as outsourcing control, environment monitoring programme.
Kudos to all who have been working on this 7th version.
