Understanding Tea Import Regulations for Canadian Market

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know the list of pesticides that the supplier of fresh or dry tea needs to provide in order to meet Canadian food safety standards? I wasn’t able to narrow down the list of pesticides that should be tested for the Canadian market using the Pesticide Database. our company is seeking the opportunity to purchase loose dry tea from India and i need to prepare a detailed buying spec for this purpose.

First YOU need to search for EACH pesticide that is or MAY be used on the product you want to import, then you know whether or not you can based on the MRL for each pesticide and the results of testing the product
