Hello,

In our company we will start a "clean as you go " workshop in order to encourage the production teams to start cleaning in their work area.

Do you have any presentation (ppt) or other documents to share please?

I need to start by training firslty or how to proceed?

Who should be in this team work?

Thank you for your help

Hi ;)

A clean as you go procedure is about keeping the work area clean and tidy at all times whilst working. This includes cleaning up spills, wiping down surfaces, removing waste to bins and generally keeping the work area clean and tidy. Clean as you go procedure can reduce the risk of slips, trips and falls.

A few examples for training :

Clean and wipe away any spillages as soon as they happen

If you see any spillages do not ignore it clean it up or report it

Clean your area between tasks and at the end of production runs

Regularly sweep your area of work to stop debris building up

Make sure hazard signs are displayed to warn people of wet floors following cleaning

All cleaning equipment will be in a good clean condition before being returned to its holder or storage area and of a colour following the colour coding policy.

Priority will be given to cleaning which reduces allergen and foreign body contamination risks.

I believe that everybody should attend this session (engineers, hygiene team, production, managers, warehouse etc) the best way is to add CAYG slides to induction

Great idea. One caution. We have janitorial staff separate than production workers. They then can touch the floor, take out trash, etc without having to change their smock. They wear a red sleeve to distinguish them.
