How to Manage Supplier Control in a Global Company?
I am currently working on integrating into our global company and my site is the only SQF site in the company.
Supplier control program is my main struggle.
Background on our site: We are an SQF facility producing cleaning chemicals, food processing aids, indirect food additives, technical grade items, we also warehouse incoming items like salt and sugar. We have been an SQF facility for 12 years.
My issue: We are needing to integrate our supplier control program with our corporate facility. I require many product documents that the other sites do not such as allergen statements, kosher, GMO, FDA bioterrorism registration, etc. We also maintain these documents for non raw material items like sugar and salt for example. I am needing code /evidence to support maintaining a separate program.
1. Do we need to maintain supplier control for items not under our scope i.e. technical grade formulas?
2. Do we need to maintain supplier control for items that we are not using as raw materials?
3. Do we need to maintain a supplier control for every item within our warehouse/production facility?
