FSSAI Registration for E-commerce and Retail

Hello everyone, I want to introduce a firm which is selling products through their website, They are having the trademark but selling products of Self help groups. They are running a cafe and placed SHG food products. So we are trying to get license for Food services, Retail, E-commerce.

We are going for FSSAI registration for that cafe, considering E-commerce. We selling products through the website and as retailer

Shall we take FSSAI registration license for food service or central license ? our turnover is only upto 12 lakhs. However, I got to know that E-commerce require Central license? Is that so. Kindly provide guidance , really looking for help.

1) As per  Food Safety and Standards Act  if you are a food Business Operator carrying out any of the activities like manufacture, processing, packaging, storage, transportation, distribution of food including food services, catering services through the medium of e-commerce then you need to take a license (either State or  Central)

2) Again as FSSAI 'E-Commerce'  means buying and selling of goods and services over digital and electronic network
