Is Rowanberry extract safe in food product?
Hello folks,
Any idea if this ingredient is safe in food product
Small berry from the Mountain Ash family of evergreens.
The extract is used as a non-gmo/natural preservative for food.
It is quite safe.
As a berry looks like a cranberry and for years they have been eaten for both nutritional value as well as medicinal value.
We will be using Rowanberry as a preservative in our new line of glass contained organic food products.
It's little known in food circles - but amoungst the best.
Here's a good link from A&B Ingredients on Rowanbery...
