Looking for a product to use in a hydro cooler to keep the water potable

Good morning, I am looking for a product to use in a hydro coolers to keep the water potable.  We use city water therefore there is chlorine in the water.  We have been using chlorine bricks but are being told that the product we use does not have specific required information on the label.  Thank you in advance for any information.

Liquid Sodium hypochlorite that is food safe and then follow the instructions for dilution and check that regularly
