Hi all,

we are using colour of raffia string to define production batch of each day, for example; monday use blue colour, tuesday use red clour and so on. . Our production is running 24 hours,  I'm thinking from 8am to 8am (24 hours) as regarded 1 day production, for example product that produced on Monday from 8am to 8am , this batch of product will be using Blue colour raffia string .

I was wondering if my idea is okay and acceptable. Feel free to comment.

Hi Carine,

As long as you maintain product identification and traceability you can define the times for a production code as you wish. Clearly it is of benefit to be able to trace further in case of a withdrawal or recall as you may not need to recall a whole day's production code.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,

Tony

Thank you Tony. Merry Christmas and Happy new year to you

string is not ideal as it can become a foreign material hazard (it shreds)

Why not coloured labels for each unit or coloured tape?
