Reflections from a Honey Industry QA Professional Entering Food Manufacturing

Greetings, all.

I am a Quality Professional with 15 years in mostly warehousing and distribution, a former ASQ Member Leader [Section Chair], and now a member of the well-regulated Food Industry!  Thanks to several of you who have already enlightened me as I try to play catch up and understand all the intertwining of a Food Safety Plan, its role in everyday production of food, and how it pings back-and-forth with the SQF Code...and FDA...and everyone else!!  The firehose that was PCQI, Basic and Advanced HACCP, and Regulatory Research has made this a whirlwind of a short-year.

I am in the Honey Production field, hence the username.  Natural Medical Grade Mānuka Honey that is rather intriguing in its abilities.  In an Age where we NEED healthier inputs, it's refreshing to stand alongside something that does just that.

Would certainly like to connect and build some more needed expertise.  Best wishes to all.

Welcome Buzz, I look forward to learning about honey from you!  Adulteration for one I find fascinating.

Welcome Buzz, and I hope you find these forums as helpful as I have. :welcome:

Hello Buzz,

I too am relatively new to the honey packer scene (just under a year), although I have been in food manufacturing for a bit now. Manuka is something we've packed here prior to me coming on. Sounded...interesting.
