Took Place:
Friday, June 27, 2025
Presenter:
Alec Thompson , New Account Specialist, Trace Analytics LLC
Webinar Overview:
Regular monitoring of your compressed air system is the best way to ensure the safety and quality of your compressed air or gas. Join us for an in-depth dive into a compressed air testing checklist: from completing a risk assessment, to understanding purity classes, determining frequency, finally understanding your reports. Brett Greenlee, Trace Analytics’ Sales and Key Accounts manager will lead this discussion and provide you with the tools and knowledge to build your compressed air monitoring plan.

Karen Stangl : Hi For the Q & A session - Can you tell us more about how and why every point of use of compressed air is a CCP? Is there anything that can be done upstream to reduce the number of CCPs if you have many supply lines to POU?
Karen Stangl : Q2: which purity class does water fall into - soft drinks? Are we assuming "beer" is for all alcoholic beverages, and "soft drinks" is for all non-alcoholic beverages, no matter their makeup??
Brett Greenlee : Stangl: answer to Q1: According to BCAS. Every point can be considered a critical point. Usually what we see at Trace analytics is choosing a percentage of all points for each round of routine testing and rotating through them for the next round. There are ways to mitigate risk upstream and air quality testing is how to verify that those measures are effective and being maintained in an appropriate time frame
Krasi Karcheva : How the samples are usually collected?
Surampudi Ravi Teja : Hi sir
Surampudi Ravi Teja : What is the limits for micro .
PRINCE MOONO : Is there a standard template for sampling with the type of test to be conducted on each sample ?
Yesenia Ruvalcaba : For the coffee purity class outlined on the chart, does that apply for roasted coffee in its solid form or for brewed coffee? both?
Surampudi Ravi Teja : In our audit fssc22k auditor has given NC for getting TPC 4cfu
MARILENA BERTSIMA : I should leave. Great session! Are you going to share the ppt?Thank you.
Surampudi Ravi Teja : What is the limits for Mico.
Surampudi Ravi Teja : What is the micron size filter used for beverages production, blowing bottles
Tausi Abdul Mkalimoto : Greetings from Tanzania, I missed part of the presentation hope you will share the presentation slides .
JOHN SIEW John : The baseline follow the local country legistration?
Brenda Moguel : I got confused a little, what would be the recommended classification for a plastic bottle manufacturer for food and nutritional industry?
Surampudi Ravi Teja : What is frequency required to test our compressed air ( beverages).
Ramanathan SANTHANAGOPALAN : Hello. Not sure if you covered this already. Sorry, just joined the call. What are the micro requirements for compressed air testing? Is APC, Yeast, and Mold testing sufficient? If so, what should be the threshold?
Nandish Shivaram : How often are filters changed? and can we install multi-stage filtration
Surampudi Ravi Teja : My question how can we get connect with you for further doubts sir
Timothy Odoh : What time lapse or risk levels is required before moving from Baseline to Classifications 1, 2 etc ?
Khan Sohaid Ali Faiyaz Ali : What will happen if we are using old compressor which don't have filters?
Ramanathan SANTHANAGOPALAN : what are the agar plates you will send us that are specific?
Ramanathan SANTHANAGOPALAN : where is your testing lab? Also, do you test for ambient air?
Cecelia Williams : How do I go about conducting the Baseline test?
Natasha Finley : Failed for mold multiple times, new system have filters, what would you suggest next steps to be
Khan Sohaid Ali Faiyaz Ali : Thanks a Lot Sir for every informative webinar.
Ramanathan SANTHANAGOPALAN : Thank you
Lizzie Pass : thank you :)
