Storage distance from wall requirements

Hi Everyone, We are setting up a new facility for food production and found out that a storage room within the warehouse was built slightly smaller than what was planned. This is causing spacing issues for the storage racking. wondering if there are any standards prescribing that storage racking be 18" away from walls? Is 12" acceptable?

18 inches is generally the accepted but with a risk analysis you could head down to very low minimums - all that matters is that cleaning and pest control can be easily completed.

Inside wall or outside wall?
