Fascinating indeed. I followed up the reference and eventually arrived at this monumental work -

One of the longest philosophical (?) lists I have ever seen. Some have analogs in yr original link -
eg - Do not be very upright in your dealings for you would see by going to the forest that straight trees are cut down while crooked ones are left standing. (Ch 7.12)
Others are more cryptic but equally prescriptive -
eg - Keep one thousand cubits away from an elephant, a hundred from a horse, ten from a horned beast, but keep away from the wicked by leaving the country. (Ch7.7)
The female sex seems to be generally regarded as a negative influence -
eg - Courtesy should be learned from princes, the art of conversation from pandits, lying should be learned from gamblers and deceitful ways should be learned from women. (Ch12.18)
