Eu Food-contact Materials Update (4 X Articles)
Started by Simon, Jan 04 2005 09:35 PM
In a series of four articles, PackagingLaw.com's Monthly Focus addresses some of the particular issues that arise for companies that manufacture packaging and other types of food-contact materials when they market these products in the EU.
These issues include the need for harmonization of the laws within the EU and the importance of ensuring that these products are safe and can be lawfully marketed in the Member States of interest.
In addition, the articles examine recent developments in legislation of the EU, including the final version of the new Framework Regulation and the latest draft of the Super Regulation.

Hi Simon,
is there a copy of the stuff you're mentioning ?
Not entirely sure what you're asking Franco, but the link provided does not take you to the actual regulations; article 3 and 4 in the series simply discuss 1935/2004 and the proposed SuperRegulation respectively.
There is a link to 1935/2004 in this forum, but I've attached a copy below. I've not seen a draft of the proposed SuperRegulation and I've been unable to locate a copy. Has anyone else? The best I can do is the attached Fact Sheet from Flexible Packaging Europe, you can download the draft SuperRegulation Rev. 6.1 (27 July 2004) from their website but unfortunately you need to be a member.
