Creating PAS 220 PRPs

I am in the process of rewriting our PRP's to be compliant with the PAS 220. Unfortunately PAS 220 and ISO 22000 are not real great in terms of depth.

Could someone review the PRP example attached and see if, in your experience, this will meet the requirements of PAS 220. Obviously the internal auditing system will verify that these PRPs are actually implemented

Our previous PRP's were defined internally, but now I want to make sure I don't miss anything covered with PAS 220. Lots of holes to fill.

Thanks in advance

Hi there

You seem to have covered the key points. I think it is a case of going through both standards and ensuring that you have covered all of their requirements.

For example windows:

CODEX - Windows should be easy to clean, be constructed to minimize the build up of dirt and where necessary, be fitted with removable and cleanable insect-proof screens. Where necessary, windows should be fixed.

PAS 220 - External opening windows, where present, shall be insect screened. External windows shall be designed to minimize the potential for entry of pests.

Regards,

Tony
