How do I sanitize squeeges and brooms. Am also looking at possible ways of ensuring adequate dilutions when preparing cleaning chemicals.

Dear Nixon,

to make sure you´re using the correct dilution for that chemical, you will have to check the product´s labell, because the original concentration os the desinfectant varies from one producer to another.
When sanitizing squeeges and brooms I often use:
a) Cleaning with hot water and some kind of detergent
b) soaking them in desinfectant and water (chlorine, quat´s). quite often i let them stay over night.

I hope it helps!

Dear Nixon,

Cleaning may also be important.

)
One suggestion from commercial brochure -

TO SANITIZE BRUSHES, MOPS AND BROOMS: After using brushes, mops and brooms, wash thoroughly; then soak for 2 minutes in a 2400 ppm available chlorine solution made with warm water. Rinse with clear water; dry.
(Not recommended for cellulose sponge mops.)

(I have used minimum 1% av Cl2 (NaClO or Ca[OCl]2)for much longer time but it may depend on what you are using the brushes for )
