Scale calibration in SQF
I wanted to know, is it mendatory to get weighing scales used in the facility certified by outside calibration service? Also if we do inhouse pre operation weighing scale, what tolerance are allowed in scale?

For sure, it is operationally relevant what size you are weighing, eg metal powder vs cabbages. And also on the absolute magnitude of the weight. And on the environment, eg wet / dry / lab. IMEX, sometimes analog are still faster / more robust/ more easily serviceable than digital but less interfaceable / less fashionable / less expensive
