CCP or oPRP?

Dear Lister,

Textbook answer – according to the procedures given in ISO22000/22004 standards, eg para 7.4.4 of the former. ++.

Operational answer – by choosing one of the available, validatable methodologies, either qualitative or quantitative, which is most suitable to yr own product / process / implementation style.
In practice, currently, most popular methods seem to be based on the traditional Codex tree, suitably modified as per iso 22000/22004 requirements. However a variety of alternatives are also in use, eg can try this short review covering up ca. 2 years back -.

Many later opinions also given in subsequent forum threads, eg try searching for “oprp”

Mr. Charles,

Thank you very much. I will check oprp forums as what you have mentioned.

CCP or oPRP?

Hi Lister,

If you give us some information about your products and process then perhaps we can assist in more detail and with relevant examples.

Kind regards,

Tony
I have found that you need to be careful with the decision tree as it will tell you that everything is a CCP. It may help to only apply it to high score risks and not use if for lower scores and say they are controlled by PRPs.
