Hi there,

I dont have a HACCP plan at hand for tetra-paked milk, but I do have a lot of experience with this process. Can you clarify the process a little more...? e.g.
1. Raw liquid milk intake

2. Raw storage

3. Standardisation

4. Pateurisation / Heat treatment

5. Separation

5. Homogenisation

6. Process milk storage

7. Packing

8. Storage

The HACCP requirements for Tetra Pak milk are essentially the same for any other packaging format with the exception of aseptic packing requirements if these are applicable in your case.

Some more information would be good and we will have a look to see if we can help you out more.

George
Pls. ensure your tetra pak package sterility and integrity. Also your filling machine parameters to ensure the sterility.
Rgds

I dont want a HACCP plan. I want the tests which are essential to ensure good quality liquid milk production in tetra pack starting from receiving to finished product storage.

Dear Rizwan Ali,

I suspect yr post has a very, very wide scope. One obvious solution would be a specific textbook on production of tetra-pak type milk products. This exists.

It's not my direct area of interest and hopefully George will have immediate solution for yr requirements. If so, no need to read further.

IMEX, Milk Quality standards and their testing methods are usually Local Regulatory Defined. The standards typically detail input, output requirements and certain mandatory process values, eg heating conditions.

It sounds to me like you need 2 things –

(1) Local Pakistan Regulatory Specification for Milk Products.
(2) Quality Assurance procedures which contains testing methods for the parameters specified in (1). The appropriate source is often specified within the standard, eg AOAC etc.

For (1) above I would suggest relevant quality data are available here –

PSQCA, 2008. Pakistan Standard Specification for Dairy Safety and
Standard for Milk and Milk Products. Pakistan Standard and Quality
Control Authority. PS.4873-2008. ICS. No.67.100.10: 67–020

For (2), if my above interpretation matches yr request but the ref. above does not specify testing methods, I can suggest some readily available “Milk” texts which assist.

PS - this item may also be worthy of some thought in advance - http://pkpolitics.co...kill-generation

PPS - added I did a little searching and have added a few attachments below which although only partially relevant to yr post may be of some interest -

xx1 - tetra-pak training course 2004.pdf   762.8KB   284 downloads
xx3 - Pakistan Dairy sector 2006.pdf   1.95MB   151 downloads
xx4 - tetra pak, Introduction to Commercial Sterility.pdf   463.15KB   231 downloads
xx5a - quality evaluation system for milk.ppt   6.77MB   335 downloads
I Think this will explain what I need. this is very general but will help

Tests on Fiished product

Test name Test Procedure Frequency Responsibility Record document

Package contents Weight Method Half hourly QC technician Finished product qulity log

THis is for one para meter that is contents. Similarly I need a scheme of quality testing at all stages of tetrapack milk starting from receiving to storage.

Hi Rizwan,

I am sure that I can help.

Please confirm that you are referring to Ultra Heat Treated Milk in Tetra Pak aseptic packaging. Let me know the TBA machine you are using as well as this can make a difference.

Kind regards,

Tony
