A pleasant morning to everyone,
Currently i'm upgrading our Logistics procedure (acceptance procedure for incoming materials), and one of the factor we consider is that the unloading time of raw material. Base on the pest activities insect and other nocturnal animals very active during sunset on-wards that why it will affect the production if they continue unloading raw materials that is prone to infestation. With this i would like to know your knowledge and expertise regarding what raw materials from your factory considered as prone to infestation and the reason why you consider it as prone to infestation most especially for those in Asian or tropical countries like Philippines.
See attached file.
Thanks to send your input,
Factory Hygienist.

Hello Factory Hygienist,
These raw materials acetic acid galacial and citric acid are used as acidulants, pickling agents and preservatives in food and beverages and are not prone to infestations. They should be kept covered properly and opened only when they are to be used and covered after immediately used.
If kept opened after use and if insects are flying around the premises, they may come in contact with fumes of glacial acetic acid and die in them.Hence should be covered properly
Regards
Sushil

2 Thanks
There are a lot of acidic material and controller which is used for preservation can affect insects, and to take care of your products, you should cover it properly, open when you are using and close it immediately after use.
