Have you visited any countries outside the UK in the last 3 months?

For the question in the title on a visitor questionnaire if the answer is yes.  Then which countries are a problem? And what do you do if they have visited a dodgy country?  What is the further line of questioning and what action do you need to take?

I use the following

High risk countries are Asia, Middle East, India, Mexica, Southern & Central America

Low Risk America, Europe, Canada, Australia, New Zealand

As to yr first query, one presumably needs criteria for "dodgy". Other than a gut feeling perhaps.

One possible (risk-based?) WHO concept here (see Pg5/42) but data is 10 years old -

Travel insurers should surely be a likely source but i found hard data elusive, eg comments like - policies may not hold for countries recommended not to travel by the FO.

Logically, the details must surely hv some relevance also, eg In the City / In the Jungle ?

I usually use information from the WHO there is quite a lot of useful information on their website and some interactive maps.

There is also useful information on regions and updates on outbreaks here
