Laboratory Accreditation to ISO 17025:2011
Good Day
Is it advacable to tell a client that the laboratory is ISO 17025, even if the analysis he is interested in is not part of scope of accreditation ?, like for example you have 56 method in total and only 40 of them are accredited.
Good morning,
ISO 17025 accreditation is mostly for the general quality and technical manegement system. It is interesting to say that your lab is accredited but it's very very important to list the methods which are accredited. Auditors and clients are much more concerned about accreditation of test methods for them to have full confidence on the quality of results.
I usually ask lab with whom I work if their specific methods are accredited before I send my samples for analysis.
Regards,
R
Yes you can tell them. Even if their required tests are not accredited it will show the competency and commitment of lab towards quality.
