How to validate CIP?
Right now we have some problem with CIP, after we find root cause it is probably come from validation stage,
we have already use Temperature, Time, Concentration, Velocity, but we think it s not enough
can anyone share experienced how about validate CIP Process, especially in dairy product
I'm guessing you're having a micro issue?
When we set up our CIP system in a previous role, after running the CIP system we first flushed water through the lines and collected samples for micro testing. Once these were clear we did the same with every product run for the first week as we had multiple vats/kettles and pipe lines the product could flow through.
We also tested the chemical concentration levels while the CIP was running as well as randomly swabbing. We weren't specifically a dairy company however many of our products contained milk.
We also tested the end water wash of the CIP for trace allergens. With the exception on one batch in the first week we never had an issue.
I hope some of that helps ^_^
yes correct,
you using hilite or unilite?
and how your step to make sure your CIP is on track?
I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with hilite or unilite, do you have a link?
We regularly micro tested the dairy products (each product is tested at least once per month), the CIP strength levels are tested every morning on each line, we conducted random Biotrace swabbing once a week ensuring all area's are covered in a 3 month period and we would conduct allergen trace tests once a week.
Edit: We would also flush the lines with a stronger caustic wash during the end of week clean once a quarter. This was just a preventative just-in-case step.
hy-lite can be applicated on inner Tanks or vessel which is easy to open, but for close system you may check micro level from the last water rinse
to make sure CIP on track just do it and record CIP parameter process and check CIP effectiveness
Dear aes_eldest,
A little context might encourage more directly relevant responses,
Eg yr current cip validation process
some info. as to actual nature of yr process, hilite whatever
