How do you deal with Stones or Jewels on Pants?
I am wondering on how everyone deals with stones or jewels on jeans since they are so popular now. Also what are your views about sequins and glitter on shirts if you wear work shirts over them? Your thoughts would be appreciated.
We do not allow any of that per our GMPs. We supply uniform shirts and everyone is expected to wear jeans or pants that are not adorned with jewels or plastic pieces.
What about bling on glasses? Tesco don't like them neither!
When Tesco start paying for the staff glasses, I will then ban them- until then, if they want to be Dame Edna Everage, how can I stop them?

Depends on where and for what. For us, a food plant, "stones or jewels on jeans" and "sequins and glitter on shirts" are prohibited in our GMP policy.

Prohibiting 'bedazzled' clothing in your GMP policy should be sufficient. Equal and consistent enforcement of that policy is another thing when it comes to the back shifts.
During the annual 'refresher' training, it might be a good idea to have a Tyvek suit handy and let everyone know that the if they come to work with sequins on their clothing, they'll get to pay for and wear a Tyvek suit for their entire shift. That's usually enough to dissuade the fashion-conscious individuals.....

Tassels, fringe, furry stuff, fuzzy stuff. In my SOP it does not list them all, but instead has "at a supervisor's discretion", so if the floor supervisor doesn't like it, well, that's it go home, you don't have to go find QA. Same for other GMP polices - correctly fitting clothes, dirty clothes, when to wear a beard net, etc. At a managers / supervisors discretion. That way when you say "No fuzzy ear muffs and long, flowing winter scarves" and they challenge you, it's because it's at your discretion.
We also did not allow distressed or "pre-worn" jeans at my last place - because your uniform has to be clean and free from wear & tears, rips, holes, etc. So no -pre aged jeans for us, despite them being fashionable.
Am stunned anyone would pay that much for a pair of jeans that look that bad. That falls under "more money than good sense", IMHO.

No problem. I have a naturally risk-averse disposition. Especially to sequins. :smile:
My guess is that the site has an additonal random targetting page for some lucky people. Now only seeing the "wares".

Cheers to you Chris Domenico, I love that idea. I am in huge agreement with magneta_majors as well. We are a food processing plant and bling is definitely a big no-no. We also have to watch on now for false eyelashes can you imagine what one of those looks if a customer found one in their container of product?
I keep make up wipes and nail varnish remover in my draw.
And that's just for the men!
