Hi everyone

How does one go about conducting a packaging material recall backwards? Where in the food safety system should the mock recall be documented?

Always document your mock recalls. You do one backwards by choosing a piece of material that was used for the packaging and you trace it into everything it may have gone into. For example, choose a resin. Now you have to see how much resin you received with what lot#. Then trace every packaging material you made using that resin with that lot# until you account for all resin received with that lot#.

Do manufacture packaging or trying to trace your packaging backwards.  Either way the theory is the same.  You need to take an item and track back to your vendor.
