Is a separate Crisis Management manual acceptable?

Hello All,

I have written my Crisis Management Program and I do identify purpose, scope, responsibilities and attachments.  What I did not do is format the manual in our SOP format.  It's in a separate manual on it's own, is that acceptable?

Let me know your thoughts please.

Thank you

Hi,

I have always used a separate manual for Food Defense and Crisis management.  I include all related programs - Food defense, recall, business continuity, etc.

Hi marie,

In general I agree with previous poster. Some auditors may have their own personal preferences though, eg  related to convenience of (their) cross-checking.

One caveat might be if the required format/layout is specified in the applicable Standard. It usually isn’t IMEX. Not sure about ISO though.

Thank you for the response....

I was so uncertain as I see a good number of companies do make it part of the SOP Manual, for me it's too much for a SOP Manual.

I will keep it separate.

Thanks! = )
