FDA just announced that they have submitted the final preventive controls rules for human and animal food to the Federal Register.  They should publish within a few days.

I had a feeling that they would not make any more statements until the final rules went live, and that's how it went down.

FDA has send to Office of Management and Budget (OMD). These are large documents, so there is a chance that we have to think in weeks, rather than days?

Please note that OMD has review function before publishing in Federal register takes place. This is not always a "done deal". Let's see!

OMB had it already for over a year and made their changes.  They have to meet the court deadline since they were a co-defendant in the lawsuit.  The notice from FDA says it went to the Federal Register, and to expect publication in a few days.
