Working of DM Plant

Dear All,
We use cation & Anion exchanger in DM plant. Can anyone let me know how can we identify if the resins are in good condition or not? How can we identify that the resins need to change or not? Your suggestions are welcome.
Is it acceptable to install the fly electrocutor inside the production area but only open after working hours?
Working environment in IQF Packing Room
