Hi,

I am an experienced internal/external lead auditor considering a career in Food Safety. I am looking for recommendations on certifications I would need to obtain to enter this industry. Currently I am working on obtaining my CQA from ASQ and am a qualified ISO9001 and ISO17025 auditor.

Welcome Ralph

Hi Ralph,

With your ISO experience it seems heading toward FSSC 22000 may be helpful.  It is bench-marked against the Global Food Safety Initiative and uses ISO methodology. Go to the GFSI or FSSC22000 websites for more information.  Nice to have another Oregonian in the forum.

Good luck!

Welcome to the IFSQN Ralph.  Feel free to join the discussions.
