Dear All,

It will be our second BRC audit next week. I would like to clarify that since we have already than the validation of or processes, do we to do validation again of it will be a verification?

Thank you,

Hi redfox,

What particular process/activity are you talking about ?

Afaik, Va and Ve for BRC are chronologically 2 different activities although sometimes there is a “cross-over”.

Validation - Obtaining evidence through the provision of objective evidence that a control or measure, if properly implemented, is capable of delivering the specified outcome.

Verification - The application of methods, procedures, tests and other evaluations, in addition to monitoring, to determine whether a control or measure is or has been operating as intended.

It will be our second BRC audit next week. I would like to clarify that since we have already done the validation of our processes, like CCP's, PRP's, HACPP and etc. Do we have do validation again of it will be a verification?

Charles,

Thanks for the reply. My intended statement is the second sentence which is corrected from the former.

Insufficient data. Sorry.

Re-validation of CCPs is typically necessary if the "process" changes or at specified intervals if "required" (eg if by BRC ?).

Verification is an ongoing requirement, eg BRC -  2.12

Dear Charles,

I've got the point. Thank you very much.

Hello, may be you are confusing with ISO type audits, where the certification (Y1) and re-certification ones (Y3), every 3 years, are a total validation and full audits (and longer). Then, in between, you have 2 years of "surveillance" audits, shorter, looking more to monitoring and verification activities,

Hope this also clears you...

In BRC, it is yearly a full audit

Leila
