In case of product recall / withdrawal, most of the staff is mobilised in a fire fighting mode and may neglect the corrective actions that are required to avoid such event to occur again. This conference will provide you with an overview of questions to be answered right after such crisis. Mérieux NutriSciences performs numerous interventions after recall / withdrawal to help the manufacturing site to get back on the right track. The presentation will focus on Listeria and foreign body contamination.

Dear,

Do we have to be prepared for a withdrawal (exercise) from both our supplier (default in raw matrial) or our buyer (inadequate end-product)? Two-way recall as part of a chain? Does it make a differance in approach What to do afterwards?

Hello,

To be prepared for product recall, you can consider several scenario like contamination of raw material (supplier origin) or notificiation by your customer of a finished product defect. It does not really make a difference as long as you have a robust traceability system. My presentation's purpose is to avoid recurrence, so what corrective actions to implement after the recall.

Best regards
