Looking for ideas for Company cost saving project

Hello, new member here. I just started as a sanitation supervisor after 10 years of being sanitation lead. Last week I was approached with a task that I am struggling with just a bit and thought I would test the waters here to see if anyone had some ideas. Basically we have a company wide challenge for all supervisors to come up with a project in regards to new ways to, save cost, safety concerns or quality in general. I think the project can be directed in any which way with emphasis with cost saving. Honestly the hardest part for me is coming with something that doesn't cost a fortune. I mean because of course we all can come up with great expense driven ideas to improve old factories but I don't think that's what we are looking for here. If anyone has some simple ideas that they used in some other plant to improve things let me hear them. I was thinking of something like chemical control but a lot of the solutions for that require new equipment. Maybe something to do with ergonomics?

Hi Lucas,

It sounds like yr Company might be interested in KPIs or (Continuous) Opportunities for Improvement.

There are many related threads to the above here, for example -

If yr Company don't know what a KPI is, maybe that is the Project itself.
