Good CMMS Maintenance software or programs for very small business?

Hello Everyone,

We are a VERY small company (2 owners and 3 employees currently), and going after SQF Level 2 certification.

We would like to start off right and ensure our maintenance is scheduled, performed, tracked, recorded, etc. through a CMMS-type system, which would be able to be used on laptops as well as Windows tablets and Android phones.

Any suggestions?  What is good out there?  What isn't?

Obviously, cost is a HUGE factor...so, the less expensive, the better!

Good system, most of our clients get this too, not high cost - called COGZ, available from www.Focus-Works.com

Thanks, I will check it out!

Turns out that option was more expensive than we'd like.

Any other suggestions?

Hi Parkz,

Maybe you should indicate a target level of investment ?

There have been various systems mentioned in previous threads with costs but I don't hv links offhand.

Sadly I hv never had any option other than manual.

BTW, CMMS = Computerized maintenance management system is a real beaut of an acro.

Note - our sponsors Safefood360 are in this field also.

Good point, Charles.C - we have found a few options that cost around $5 to $30 per month, per user, with no other up-front or back-end costs.  We only have 5 users, so even at $30 per month per user, we're still only spending about $1,800 maximum per year...and even would be a stretch for us, as we are a VERY small company (those 5 users constitute our entire workforce, including the owners).

So, we are trying to find anything less than $1000 per year total, I suppose.

I'm just trying to find out what others similar to us are using for low-cost options.

Here's another one - not sure about the cost. Cogz has always met that point, don't know about this one -- but do hear good stuff on it.

Thanks for the suggestions!

FYI - I just checked them out...their base package is still $33 per month per user, so kinda pricey for us...but thanks anyway!

Only 33.00 a month, that is fantastic and very cost effective.  Considering what it costs in labor and $$ to get SQF certified, that is a system I'd suggest for very small or large companies.

That's $33 per month, PER USER.  We have 5 users, so we'd be looking at over $150 per month.

We have found another company with a basic, but seemingly very usable, system...and it's only $5 a month or $48 per year, for unlimited users.  I think we're going to end up going with it (www.ss-cmms.com), but I wanted to see what else might be out there, first.  Sometimes it's worth paying more if you really get more usefulness...but our needs are simple and limited, so we don't want to pay for bells and whistles that we don't need and likely wouldn't even use.

Thanks for the recommend.

Update:  We have discovered a new player in the field - Logaid!  https://logaid.com/

The program is still in the later stages of development, but I've been able to give some advice to the program developer, who is more than happy to work with customers to make the program even better.  He has already implemented a number of my suggestions, most of which have sought to improve reports, traceability of work projects, and other such things that make it easier for audit time.

Check them out and let me know what you think!

Wow, that is very interesting, thx for sharing this links, i find something rly important for me, thx.
