Does US FDA have any rules for chilled juice transportation to USA?
Hi all,
Need your advise, Does any know if US FDA has any specify requirement for chilled juice transportation to USA?
I am not sure if I control as usual transportation practice BUT control temperature in container to keep chill condition is it enough?
If anyone have the requirement, would be great if you can share.
Thanks,
Nuch
Technically no. Even under the Juice HACCP FDA rule there is no mention of temperature control in bulk shipment of juice. However, whenever bulk is received at a facility it must undergo a 5-log reduction method.

Because juice in tanker trucks is not juice in a final package form, juice shipped in bulk tankers must undergo a 5-log reduction process after transport and prior to final fill and packaging.
Is the chilled juice referred to in OP in bulk or final packaging ? Economically I anticipate must be the former but ????
