5.2.2 c. - How to make Quality Policy available to interested parties?

Dear All,

 

Kindly advise in what ways can someone make quality policy available to the interested parties as per ISO 9001:2015 Clause 5.2.2 c.

Well first who are your interested parties?

 

I think customers and perhaps suppliers, the local community...then put it on your website.

 

And employees, include it in training and put it on the notice boards.

Well appreciated.This can work but what if you don't have website and you deliver your goods to your customers?Would it be in order if you can put the policy in your email as a default?

Send a genuine copy of your policy to all your customers. Make a letter of instructions, let the customer sign your policy and put a company stamp on it. Have them send a copy back of this to you. In this way you can show - by archiving signed policies from your customers - that you have made it available to them?

For all you know, your customers may not be interested in your quality policy ... lol

 

What ISO 9001:2015 clause 5.2.2c means is that anyone who wants to read your Quality Policy shouldn't have a hard time looking for it.  The key is availability.

So you can print posters and display them in your guard posts, lobbies, visitors' rooms, employees lounge etc. With my previous company, we also gave each employee

a printed laminated card to be worn together with his/her ID Card.

I don't know about today but the traditional answer for 9001 used to be to produce a Quality Manual which (obviously) included the Quality Policy.

 

This manual was/is a document responding to the clauses of the iso9001 code in a "neutral" way so it could be distributed anywhere without breaking any confidential internal process knowledge. There were/are(?) dozens of them spread across the internet
