HACCP compliant layout
Hi All,
When designing a plant (beverage) can a common pathway (hallway) be used for the movement of both raw materials and finished goods once the movement of the raw materials and finished goods occurs at different times as per SOP?
Or should the raw materials and finished goods have distinctly different pathways for movement regardless of a possible time separation as per SOP.
Depends on the level of risk of cross contamination. In the plant where I work, the pathways for raw materials and finished product are the same.
Our customers sometimes cringe at this, but we explain why there is no cross contamination (since we make packaging and don't handle food products or additives).

Hi Dahmun,
IM(manufacturing)EX, invariably Yes.
Sounds like an intriguing Flowchart.
