Dear all,

My company bought a new label printer that we are using to label our products. We used to have an external company were doing the labels.

Do I need to write it in our QUALITY manual  this procedure for the BRC ISSUE 5 packing?

Thank you .

In my opinion, you have added one step into your production line. If your manual describes the process of labeling, you should update it, e.g. how to control materials, inks, printer & stocking of printed labels.

Beside that, I think it's better to update hazard & risk analysis too. Risk items could be contamination by inks, safety of inks (are they suitable for unintended food contact?), etc.

Hope this help.
