Frequency and magnitude of sampling
Hello,
I was wondering if any one has ever done a risk assessment for the number of laboratory samples for any product or group of products for a specific time period , required based on volume produced, number of Complaints , complexity of the product making and its ingredients?
I need to justify the samples I am sending to laboratory are based on risk analysis considering all the above factors.
any formula that can calculate the risk of the products?
any help is appreciated.
Hello Samurai Sam,
Please see files attached. It may help.

Hi SS,
Indeed many, many people have written innumerable books on aspects of yr question. Especially Statisticians.
A simple answer is that any formula will typically depend on the specific objective of yr sampling / analysis.
You probably need to present a specific case to get relevant responses.
Some basic thoughts are discussed in this thread/sublinks (and sub-sub links) -

Another activity which can assist in demonstrating confidence in yr analytical results (ie minimising the risk of error) is to routinely, eg annually, engage in a ring test. This topic is also discussed on this forum.
Hello Samurai Sam,
I pasted the same article....please see another articles.
