HACCP Employee Training
Hello,
I need to train my staff on our HACCP Plan ( Food Safety Plan) and was wondering if anyone had a training template that they use or what I should exactly cover. We are a small facility with a low rick product and we have no CCP's, and are a Allergen Free Facility. However we do have several preventative controls in place. I found some Power Point Slide shows describing the basic concept of HACCP would that be sufficient?
Thank you all again :cheezy: :cheezy: :cheezy:
We hired a consultant to come teach HACCP at our facility. I found it much more effective than me standing up there and talking for 6 hours about things I've already trained on. Having it taught by a 3rd party kept the employees attention.

Thank you for the response. I would love to go that route trust me. I am not looking to get anyone certified I am wanting them to be aware of what HACCP means and how it relates to our company. I wanted to keep it simple and have them sign off on the training.
The company I work for has never had extra money so I do all the training myself. After so many years I can do my HACCP training in one hour or less. You are not certifying anyone and the basic concepts need to be understood. Usually the illustration I use for team building is baseball. You tube has numerous videos for free that can by used in your HACCP training. I have even found some on there that qualifies for OSHA training. My company is low risk, no allergens (except in the breakroom) and 1 CCP so hopefully this helps.

Thank you for the response. How did you document the training? And after the video they signed off on the HACCP training?
IFSQN are running our HACCP training webinar again next month; convenient, credible and cost-effective.

Simon's route is an excellent one - they run a very nice program.
