Micro data analysis for aerobic plate count and/or Listeria spp.
Does anyone have a "trendy" micro data analysis for aerobic plate count and/or Listeria spp. that could easily be understood by all levels of employees in the food industry? I have seen many trend analyses and bar/pie charts that do not explain much more than prevalence, or trend by date, and require lots of explanations as to what the data is saying. I am interested in data analysis that would easily be read by anyone and not just QA or Food Safety professionals.
how about trending each location with bar graphs by areas....then employees can see each areas improvement (or not) and it may help them buy into the program
Alternatively instead of positive or negative results you could graph out colony counts (if you have them)
Are you targeting floor employees or management type people?
This trend analysis/data should be shown company wide for everyone to see and understand easily. I would love to do graphs but it seems the ones I have go unseen or ignored as "too hard" or not as "catchy" to the non-QA/FS personnel.
Product = ?
Process = ?
Frankly IMO yr OP demands microbiological awareness.
IMO you may well be wasting yr time.
PS - afaik, in USA, for various products, the topic of Listeria requirements is encyclopedically specified by FDA etc
addendum
If you really want to introduce a graphic incentive, I suggest you investigate the use of control charts which enable you to depict warning levels for some countable species.
Not so useful for zero-tolerant entities though.
