Hi,

We are planning for a HACCP/HARM training for our company. We manufacture labels and corrugated cartons. We already formed a HARM team but we can't find anyone who could provide us the training we need.

Any suggestions please?? Thanks!

Hi Donie, IFSQN have a 4-hour HACCP training webinar that you can take with your team at your leisure.

Take a look here and if you have questions just ask.

Hi Simon,

Thank you for your reply! :spoton:  I'll discuss this with the team.

This is the only one I know of for HARM

Hi Glenn, I think HARM often refers to person safety.

In the BRC Packaging standard they refer to HARM (Hazard and Risk Management) instead of HACCP.

Essentially it's the same thing.  They just like to confuse people.

Cheers,

Simon

I will discuss this with our HARM team since an online training will help us save costs for training but I think our HARM Team Leader would prefer an in-house training rather than online. Thank you very much Glenn!

Best regards!

The Team Leader should have undertaken formal course - in the UK Level 3 HACCP training is acceptable, then that person can give the rest of the team training at the annual meeting. Remember to sign off the training and that evidence has been sufficient for our BRC auditors for the last few years. I do refresher training every couple of years for our team.

Hi Rosemary,

Is that so? But we are in Philippines. Do our Team Leader needs to attain a Level 3 HACCP training before she could train the rest of the members? Our HACCP Team haven't been on a HACCP training yet, even our Team Leader. Actually, we're looking for a HACCP Training provider, someone who could provide us an in-house training so we could comply with the BRC requirement.

By the way, thanks Rosemary!

Best regards

Hi Donie,

I think Rosemary was suggesting to obtain a training course similar to the one she suggested.

I would also suggest as a first Priority that yr HACCP Team Leader attends some formal HACCP course.

One popular source IMEX are Companies who may do yr subsequent certification audits. You might regard this as an investment.

Hi Charles,

Noted! Thanks for your help :spoton:

Best regards,

Donie

I have had good experience with the SAI Global HACCP training.  They can come on site or have many public course in the US and Canada.  They provide a test and certificate upon completion.
