Do Groundhogs have to be removed from the property?
Do Groundhogs have to be removed from the property?
ah, yep
They carry all sorts of microbes you don't want around
Had this exact situation, there was a holding pond behind plant......1/2 a km away from mandoors......still had to have pest control co. trap and relocate
Thank you. I have finally convinced them to get it removed. In the early 90's we had a gun at the place I worked before and we used to shoot them. Birds as well. Can't do that nowadays!!!
Get a Jack Russell, it will take care of your ground hog issue.
Our's would dive right down the holes - he never grabbed one, but they relocated off-site.
Are they not a protected species due their weather forecasting ability ?
In addition to their weather predicting skills is it really worth removing them?
Won't you have to do it all again tomorrow?
rgds
They are not protected. We checked the by-laws.
We all know that the forecasting groundhogs are a simple ploy to keep us from mobbing and chaos during those dark days o' winter!!!!!!!!
Tracey, are you close to a farmers field or other green space? Is this the only one you've had to date?
We are in a small city of 70K. The farms are at least 2km away. They apparently have made residence in the industrial area. Some people are even feeding them. We have been here 1.5 years and this is the first one. The hole is right beside the building. We will get him trapped and relocated. Then the holes will be filled in. Luckily I won the battle of getting rid of him. There was lot of protest here at the Plant about it. I had to do a lot of digging for evidence on why the creature had to go.
then you deserve a medal for your perseverance!! Good job
