Thanks' JoGriffiths.BRCGS' for posting. I've been reading through the standard and came to 5.4.8 . Does anyone else think that these additions are a bit excessive? Do we really need a separate line clearance procedure for each type of line that describes all areas of potential entrapment of materials? And 'roles of persons'...really? Here's the proposed clause:
Thank you "JoGriffiths.BRCGS" for your post.
Regarding the adjustment of 5.4.8. I will agree with "bduzan" that it is excessive.
My question is, how and by who this requirement could be practically and effectively implemented?
In our company, we are already keeping records in a callendar, for each machine seperately. The production workers (printing-laminating) write down the product code/order number/production quantity and the name of the first operator.
So could we just add an extra column for the first operator to sign for validation of the line clearance and continuing the next production?
Thank you in advance.

Does anyone have a copy of the draft standard? I had a look through it when it was first released but didn't get round to copying it and now it's unavailable. I would like to be able to have another look through it though!
