SQF Quality shield on labels for Contract Manufacturers

Hello,

I am the SQF Practitioner, and we completed our initial certification this past January. We recently got our certificate and are now in the process of putting the SQF Quality Shield on documentation and labels.

My question is, are there any special rules of putting the SQF Quality Shield on labels of product being blended and shipped from our contract manufacturer?

I have looked through the code multiple times to make sure we are not violating any rules, but I want to make sure I am not missing anything?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance!

The contract manufacturer is using your label - for all intents and purposes it is your product - yes you can place you shield on these labels.

If you haven't already done so be sure to check out the specs for placement, color, etc on the www.sqfi.com website.

Thank you! We are checking the specs now to ensure complete compliance.

Hello again,

We have most of our labels updated with our Quality Shield. Another question has arose among us and I need some more assistance. My question is: What are the rules for putting the Shield on pass through products that are labeled with our company labels? These products are not manufactured here nor our companies formula but some are registered with EPA by our company.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks again in advance!
