Hello all,

We have existing production plant and will install new parallel machine for new production line in same plant. Raw are from same sources but hopely finished product will be store in different tank. In this situation, do I need to prepare Change Management Form and announcement to our suppliers and customers?

Not sure why you'd need to tell your suppliers?
But yes, I'd expect that this should go through your change management procedure.

You may need to let customers know, depending on the specific agreements/approvals that you have in place with them. For example, if they've approved you as a supplier based on an audit of a specific line and you will be changing to a different line then yes, you will almost certainly need to advise them.
Similarly, many of them may have contractual requirements or general warranties that stipulate that they must be informed in advance of any change.

Hi Su Lei,

Any significance just might relate to what yr business actually is.

My clients issue change alerts to both customers and suppliers as deemed needed - as in who is involved.  So, they don't issue them to every single supplier and customer.   If they add a line that is making a different type of item most issue notices to ALL suppliers and customers in an effort to increase business from those that would be interested in what they will be doing on the next line/section, etc.

Dear Su Lei,

If your change management procedure works well, normally it will give you the answer on what to do.

Kind regards,
