Traceability Program, does anyone have an example to share? thank you
Traceability Program, does anyone have an example to share? Also, what would be the main difference between this program and a mock recall program. thank you!
It's helpful if you provide information on the scheme or regulations that you are inquiring about.
Traceability relates to being able to trace your raw materials and finished product in an event such as a recall. Recall programs involve slightly more than just traceability - a recall program ensures that you can not only trace your materials, but you that your logistics of notification, transport, and disposal are properly prepared for an event. Mock recalls are required to verify that your recall program is effective, and can include verification of customer & supplier contact information, time studies, etc. in addition to your ability to trace materials.

Do you mean you only receive finished packed goods, store them, then distribute them ?
So which FS Standard involved ?
Hello !
Regardless of what product you want to trace, you want to be able to trace them back, then forward. As an example, I can give you one of our suppliers that only stock raw materials, then distribute them. They receive the product by container, then give them an in-house lot number. They use a software / website to write down the code where it comes from (SCONZT - Would be from New Zealand by example) and then they assign that lot number to their client.
Then we can go to their website, order a lot number, and have it delivered / picked up. Then they can trace it backward and forward.
Hopefully it helps you !
I appreciate the response, thank you
I've used this as a reference in the past. Hope it helps! :gleam:
